Back to Basics – Agriculture is still in a bull market

Those who follow my work know that I was bullish on materials since 2002. In 2003, a seminar in London with the world regards the investor Jim Rogers, explaining why he was attribute much of my wealth to commodity.

My opinion has not changed, what follows is a bull market in commodities and have no exposure to commodities are disappearing. Before addressing the current situation, I read Hot Commodities by Jim Rogers where it says "Caution There will be setbacks, I can not promise a stairway to heaven. There is an active market grew Bull"

Many forget that Bull markets all setbacks, the stock market has not risen in a straight line between 1982-2000 had been postponed several, but there was a market Bull. If we say that this bull market began in 2000 and a typical bull market lasts 18 20 years later we still have time to go.

The problem with traders and investors is that they tend to have short memories and a tendency to focus data Recent. Let me give you an example: Monsanto (NYSE: MON) a seed of the worlds major provides more than 473% over the past five years, according to what has fallen by about 40% over the last 12 months – but the trend will continue.

Most investors based in Europe and the United States forget how small the world that we are, and the real growth is coming from China, India and other developing economies. Lets face the United Kingdom, Europe and the U.S. have seen their best years, had their years of growth and consumption, its time for others to lead.

Regardless what your nationality and where he lives in the world consume agricultural products and soft, and will continue. As the population continues to grow and life higher standards in developing countries to do the calories consumed. Forget all the hype about more cars, TVs, refrigerators I speak of developing economies in trade in rice as rice, and perhaps pork or chicken and rice.

I guess that 95% of you are not reading this has no agricultural products, see 1000 financial advisers and fund managers to invest their money to customers in the market securities, property, bonds, but when it comes to commodity funds specialize bar some, his incredible to have an agricultural product. I often hear commodities are "at risk" are the same people who invest in stocks that I remember which are much riskier than products, stocks tend to zero, no goods are ever going to zero.

Over the past 30 years or if colleges and universities have sought to leave to work in the services sector and the financial sector, as these areas are still taking place and best working conditions and wages. Few people have left to go to agriculture, but that could change now. I see the decline in service sector the next 10-15 years, it is not necessary for many banks, insurance companies, travel agencies, restaurants or shops. These companies certainly in Europe and the USA a decade of recession in agriculture, where it is in expansion mode.

What If can you get exposure?

The best way to exchange-traded funds can still be visited and a broker can put in a pension / SIPP or held in an ordinary account. ETFs own the absolute mean your not subject to margin requirements or leverage. Agriculture ETF (LSE: AGAP) and Softs ETF (LSE: AIGS) would give a good exposure. Raising long term, should benefit the livestock ETF (LSE: Eagle)

If you're ready to take a little risk of investment in agro-food is another angle. I suggest that the vectors food market ETF (NYSE: MOO a good range of companies involved in potash fertilizers, including Corp., Syngenta, Archer Daniels Midland, Deere, Monsanto and Yara Intl.
