We started this trip with a morning dive at Angel Reef, Moyo Island. As usual in this place, crystal clear waters and many fish, including Longfin Bannerfish, triggerfish and a trillion Redtooth Anthias. On the wall, a band of some eels in shallow waters pink squat lobster, mantis shrimp and a wide field of spaghetti Garden eels.
After the closing Satonda hunters creature island between us had a whale of a time. rare nudibranch, all types of shrimp and crab, mushrooms and Pipefish Coral, the stars of the series, Denise pygmy seahorse! Before nightdive, watch the bats flying home to the island Sumbawa. Spectacular, with thousands of them out, just as the sun sets every day.
On the road to the east, we stopped at Gili Lawalaut for a scenic walk, with a magnificent view Komodo Canal. Dive sites near Castle Rock and Crystal Rock are among the best in the field, with large schools of surgeon, unicornis, sweetlip, Snappers and Jackfish and Grey reef sharks, white tip sharks and a good opportunity for one or three Eagle Ray.
A visit to the region would not be complete without a trip by land on the island of Komodo itself, try to find a dragon – the largest lizard in the world! They can be up to 3.5 meters (11.5 feet) – awesome! This trip, we were lucky and found a dragon in the first 10 minutes or less! In the afternoon, then docked at the island of Rinca, we had several more Komodo dragons on the beach in front of us.
But the point of going here, at Horseshoe Bay, is to dive in one of the top 10 dive sites in the world – Cannibal Rock! The place is incredible, absolutely full of life! Featherstars, soft corals, sea apples, giant frogfish, Zebra crabs, shrimp and nudibranchs Coleman in the book. Everywhere you look, find something interesting and unusual! The place really deserves its ranking!
The next morning we went to Manta Alley in southeast corner of Komodo, and were greeted by 20 to 25 blankets, food, especially near the area occupied. Sounds diving, with opportunities Photos and videos!
Another excellent day of diving in the Komodo National Park, and return with a couple of dives on the island Moyo, before cruising into the sunset wearing a beautiful view of Bali Lombok.
