Mounted horse fancy dress?

I am thinking of doing a mounted fancy dress competition with my bay horse. But i’m stuck for ideas. However i thought i could be a crow and will could be a scarecrow? Does that sound good? And how would i go about dressing us up as a scarecrow and crow?? Any more ideas? Please

Thanks

Thats a really cool idea!!! For him, you could get some extra extra EXTRA large overalls and put them on your horse (my friend did this for Halloween and it was soo cool!) and buy a funny looking straw hat for him and cut holes for his ears. Get some fake corn and put it in some of the overalls pockets. You could also braid his mane and tail and tie them off with plaid bows. Then you could use Elmer’s glue (it won’t take his hair off and comes off easy) and glue some of these fake crows over his hip.. http://www.anytimecostumes.com/costumes/bird.html
Now, I couldn’t find a crow outfit, but you could always dress up as a chicken! http://www.anytimecostumes.com/ecommerce/control/product/~product_id=02186508

Another idea is you and you horse can be knights! But you will have to know how to sew to make these: http://www.mccallpattern.com/item/M5683.htm?tab=list/costumes&page=all

Or you can be a parrot, and your horse can be a pirate..He could have a pirate hat with fake dreadlocks hanging off it, and you could sit on a red or crimson or deep purple fake velvet sheet of fabric, with a white slightly larger sheet underneath that. You could tie fake gold coins in his mane and throughout his tail.

Yet ANOTHER idea is to be a princess (I’m just guessing you are a girl :P ), and he could be a carriage horse. I’m not really sure how much your budget is, so this one might be a tad bit overboard:P

And you could buy him a harness headstall with blinkers, and you could curl his tail by bathing him, putting his tail in curlers, spraying it with hairspray (a lot of it!) and letting it dry and set for a while. Then take them out and don’t brush through it! I saw a drill team from California do this with all of there Horses and it looked really nice! Then you could just braid his mane and tie it off with silvery bows, and paint his hooves with this: http://www.twinkleglitter.com/Prod-TOES.html

Hope I helped!!! :D
