What is the blanket with the number called on a racehorse? Best Answer Will be Chosen!?
I am doing a costume contest with my horse and I want to be a racehorse and a jockey, but I don’t know what the blankets with the numbers are called. I need to find a website where they sell those so any websites would be helpful also. Another thing, What is the head piece that they put on the horse so that they can’t see the other Horses? I will choose a best answer so answer wisely! Thank u in advance!
The number on the horse is called a “saddle cloth” And the head piece you speak of is what is known as “blinkers”…. Here are a couple of sites if you wish to purchase such items.. they aren’t cheap. I particularly like the saddle cloth site with the names of some famous runners. You can customize your own version as well if you wish. Your looking at around $75.00 to $90.00 for the two items. Pretty spendy for a costume contest. But, you would look pretty cool especially if you were wearing jockey silks :- )
